For any club, group or cause that raises money

A free community cookbook drive

The slowest part of a community cookbook is typing up everyone's recipe cards. With Recipe Clipper, members just take a photo. You get a finished cookbook, online and in print, and more of what you raise goes to your cause.

How it works

  1. 1

Share one link. You get a link for your group. Put it in the bulletin, the newsletter or the group chat.

  2. 2

Members snap their recipe cards. A photo of the card is enough (or they can paste or type it). It comes out as a clean, consistent recipe, with their name and story attached. Nobody needs an account to contribute.

  3. 3

Your committee checks it. Everything lands in one collection. Fix a typo, sort the sections, and you are done.

  4. 4

Your cookbook is ready, two ways. An online book that looks and feels like a real one (cover, photos, page by page) that you can share or sell, and a print-ready PDF.

This is an example we made up to show the style. Your book has your group's name, photo and recipes.

Questions

Is it really free?
Yes. Collecting recipes, the online book and the PDF cost your group nothing, and nobody has to buy anything to contribute.
How do you make money, then?
Some members like it enough to keep their own recipes in Recipe Clipper. Your group gets a code for a discounted first year, and $10 from each member who signs up with it goes back to your fundraiser.
Can we sell the cookbook?
Yes. It is your book, and every dollar is yours. Take payment the way your group already does (cash at the door, cheque, e-transfer or your donation page), then give buyers the online book link or the PDF, or print copies locally and sell those. Want a hand setting that up? We'll walk you through it.
Can we sell the online book online, not just at the door?
Yes. Tell us and we'll set up a checkout page for your book. The money goes straight to your group through Stripe (the card payment service), and each buyer gets their own private link, so a copy can't simply be passed around. Stripe takes its usual card fee per sale; there's nothing extra from us.
What about the original cards?
They never leave home. Members photograph them, and the card photo can sit right beside the recipe in the book.
Who owns the recipes?
The people who shared them. Your committee can download the whole collection at any time.
We already started collecting another way.
That is fine. Send what you have, and we will help you bring it in.

Tell us your group's name and roughly how many recipes you expect. We'll set up your link within a few days and help with any part of the process.
